Online Pharmacy VectraRx Hit With Seven Suits Over Data Breach

Online pharmacy VectraRx Mail Pharmacy Services is facing seven proposed federal class actions alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal information of consumers that was exposed in a December 2024 data breach.

The plaintiffs alleged in separate lawsuits that VectraRx breached its duties under common law, contract law, industry standards, the Federal Trade Commission Act, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountabilty Act to implement reasonable and adequate data-security measures and provide timely notice of the breach.
