Onix Group LLC’s $1.25 million settlement of allegations that it failed to protect the personal information of nearly 310,000 people that was exposed in a March 2023 data breach won final approval in a federal court.
Class members will be able to receive up to $5,000 each to cover documented losses related to the breach, 12 months of identity-theft insurance and credit-monitoring services, or a pro rata cash payment from settlement funds remaining after deduction of other benefits, expenses and attorneys’ fees, according to the plaintiffs’ motion for final approval of the settlement.
