Ex-Nokia Lawyer Denied Promotion Settles Age, Gender Bias Case

Nokia of America Corp. and a former in-house attorney allegedly denied a promotion because she was 56 years old and a woman, and later terminated because of her age, sex, and bias complaints, agreed to settle her lawsuit, Texas federal court records show.

Mediator Cecilia H. Morgan filed an alternative dispute resolution summary with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas Monday. It said Nokia and Sharan Rene Boudreau settled her claims through ADR during a 9.5-hour session.
