Olam West Coast Inc. workers who say the spice company stiffed them on pay and expense reimbursements secured final approval for a $4.5 million settlement ending their wage-and-hour dispute.
The deal provides a recovery for more than 8,700 people who worked for Olam, also known as Olam Spices & Vegetables Inc., with participating class members receiving nearly $213 on average, the US District Court for the Eastern District of California said.
