Oklahoma Health Department Sued by Former Chief Architect

A former employee for Oklahoma’s health department filed a lawsuit alleging the agency unlawfully treated her request for short-term disability leave as a voluntary resignation.

Nazli Mashagh Toloie claims the department discriminated against her based on her mental health conditions and because she is of Iranian descent.

A spokesperson for the Oklahoma State Department of Health said the department doesn’t comment on ongoing litigation.
