Oil, Gas Securities Fraud Allegations Snare Three in SEC Suits

Three investment advisers, including one who doubled as a radio and podcast host, improperly sold a combined $82 million worth of high-risk oil and gas securities, the SEC alleges.

Resolute Capital Partners LLC and Homebound Resources LLC sponsored the offerings, the Securities and Exchange Commission says in two complaints filed in the US District Court for the Central District of California and one in the Middle District of Florida.

The enforcement suits, filed Thursday, follow SEC settlements with Resolute, Homebound, and their principals, and a disgorgement award and civil penalty against a financial coach who allegedly solicited investors.
