A Michigan woman who was seriously injured after a piece of metal fell off a roller coaster and onto her head at the Cedar Point amusement park in Ohio has sued the park’s owner, alleging that negligence led to her permanent disability.
Rachel Hawes suffered a traumatic brain injury and a skull fracture and was unconscious for more than a day after she was struck by a part of the Top Thrill Dragster while waiting in line to ride it in August 2021, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday.
