The Ohio State University and the NCAA escaped an antitrust class action from former NFL quarterback Terrelle Pryor, who alleged he was deprived from capitalizing on his name, image, and likeness while playing for the school.
Judge Sarah D. Morrison of the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio dismissed the lawsuit in a Friday ruling, finding that Pryor cannot directly sue a state school in federal court and that he had taken too long to bring the suit.
