Ohio Justices Strike Drag Ban Measure from Town’s 2023 Ballot

The Ohio Supreme Court ordered the removal of a measure from the election ballot of Bellefontaine that was set to ask residents whether to ban drag performances in public.

Secretary of State Frank LaRose (R), who ultimately decided to place the drag ban on the town’s ballot, and the Logan County Board of Elections “abused their discretion and disregarded the law” when they shot down a protest filed by opponents, the justices unanimously ruled on Sunday.
