A judge tossed a pair of lawsuits challenging the appointment of members of an Ohio board that hears workers’ compensation disputes, saying he didn’t have the authority to hear the cases.
Those behind the suits against Ohio Industrial Commission members are seeking an order that can only arise out of a “quo warranto” action, or one that challenges a person’s ability to hold a public or corporate office, Franklin County Common Pleas Judge Bill Sperlazza wrote Thursday in a judgment entry.
