Ohio Congressman Sued for Defamation Over Highway Encounter

A Jewish Ohio congressman who said he was targeted by a Palestinian-American doctor in a road rage incident was sued Tuesday by the doctor for defamation.

Dr. Feras Hamdan sued US Rep. Max Miller (R) on the same day Hamdan pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct, obstructing official business, and willful or wanton disregard of safety on highways for the June 2025 incident. He received a suspended jail sentence and was put on probation for a year.

But Hamdan, in the lawsuit filed in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, said the “dramatically reduced charges” don’t hold him responsible ...
