Ohio’s attorney general has asked to intervene in a challenge to a new state law that requires THC-derived beverages and other “intoxicating hemp” products to be sold only at dispensaries.
The lawsuit seeks to invalidate the new state law, which banned most businesses from selling certain hemp-derived products. Cannabis is legal in Ohio but can be sold only in dispensaries. Under a federal loophole, hemp-derived products could be sold by more retailers prior to the ban, which went into effect on March 20.
