NYU Langone Health System and a female doctor resolved a retaliation suit alleging the doctor was terminated after complaining about gender bias.
The health system would pay a $720,000 award to Sari Edelman if a federal judge were to approve the rheumatologist’s proposed judgment order, according to a Wednesday letter that notified the US District Court for the Southern District of New York of the parties’ settlement. Edelman sued NYU Langone and other university entities under local and federal law, asserting claims of unequal pay, gender discrimination, and retaliation.
