NYT, Others Sue Uvalde Over Release of School Shooting Records

Major news outlets including New York Times Co. and Washington Post sued the city of Uvalde, Tex., and city officials for access to police records regarding the May 24 school shooting in Robb Elementary School that killed 19 students and 2 teachers.

The news organizations accuse Uvalde, the city’s Consolidated Independent School District, and the Uvalde County Sheriff’s Office of “consistently” resisting the release of any information that could help clear up what happened that day.
