NYC Workers Seek Approval of $5 Million Overtime Wage Deal

A group of employees for New York City’s Department of Sanitation asked a federal court to greenlight a $5 million settlement to resolve their overtime wage claims.

Over 400 sanitation officers from the department would each receive around $8,200 if the settlement were approved, according to a letter filed Feb. 6 to the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
