NYC Dental Group Gets $2.6 Million Sexual Harassment Loss Nixed

A Manhattan dental hygienist tainted her nearly $2.6 million sexual harassment trial win against her former employer, the business’ owner, and her supervisor, and must re-try her claims.

The “core” of Fortesa Qorrolli’s case was based on “inadmissible and prejudicial hearsay” regarding Mario Orantes’s alleged harassment of other women who worked alongside them at Metropolitan Dental Associates DDS - 225 Broadway PC, but who didn’t testify at trial, the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said Thursday. That was so even though Qorrilli “did not witness this harassment herself,” the court said.
