New York state officials’ stance in favor of letting transgender students use their preferred bathrooms and locker rooms is in conflict with federal policy, a school district said in a suit filed against the state education commissioner, human rights commissioner, and attorney general.
The Locust Valley Central School District is “under threat of enforcement actions by either the federal government or the state government regardless of how they implement policies with respect to separation of males and females in intimate spaces, including bathrooms and locker rooms, and sports,” the complaint filed Wednesday claims.
