A New York lawyer who admitted to money laundering and orchestrating a $18.8 million Ponzi scheme using his Queens-based law firms has been sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison, plus three years of supervised release.
Robert Wisnicki, the founding partner of Wisnicki & Associates LLP and Wisnicki Neuhauser LLP, will serve 36 months on a money laundering count and 42 months on a wire fraud count, according to the US District Court for Southern District of New York.
