New York’s top court on Tuesday ordered a trial judge to review for release to the state ACLU affiliate a decade’s worth of documents the organization claims privately instruct state judges on how to interpret and apply cases and laws.
The Court of Appeals rejected the Office of Court Administration’s argument that the documents sought by the New York Civil Liberties Union are exempt from disclosure because of attorney-client and work-product privileges.
