NY Judges Asked to Decide if Blogging is Protected Activity

New York’s high court on Tuesday signaled they may punt on whether whether blogging is protected activity under the state’s labor law.

Court of Appeals judges raised several hypotheticals during oral arguments, ranging from reading books by Karl Marx to rooting for a specific sports team as they tried to understand whether Jessie Sander was illegally fired from her teaching job at Westchester Reform Temple for a blog post she wrote about Israel and Palestine.
