NY Doubletree Hotel Workers Settle Wage Claims for $1.6 Million

A group of workers employed at a Doubletree by Hilton in New York is requesting final approval of a $1.6 million settlement agreement it reached with franchise and parent company owners after the group brought a proposed class/collective action wage case.

The proposed settlement amount “is fair, reasonable and adequate,” and no class member objected or opted out, the parties said in their joint motion filed Tuesday with the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
