NY Court System Settles Employee’s Vaccine Accommodation Claims

The New York state court system has agreed to pay more than $195,000 to settle claims that it fired a former clerk for refusing to take the Covid-19 vaccine.

The Unified Court System denies any wrongful conduct in firing senior court clerk Vince DeMaria for his refusal to comply with a vaccine mandate, according to the settlement agreement and dismissal order signed Friday by Judge Paul A. Engelmayer of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
