NXIVM Leader Raniere’s Sex-Trafficking Convictions Affirmed Anew

Keith Raniere, the founder of sex cult NXIVM, lost another appeal challenging his sex-trafficking convictions, after the Second Circuit affirmed a lower court order denying his third motion for a new trial.

The former cult leader alleged prosecutors withheld key evidence related to his racketeering conviction and claimed he’d discovered new evidence showing the government “manufactured child pornography and planted it on a computer hard drive to tie it to him.”
