Nvidia Asks Justices to Negate Investors’ Use of Revenue Expert

Nvidia Corp. investors can’t buttress an otherwise flawed false statements case by relying upon a hired expert’s “invented” data about the chip maker’s revenue sources, the company said in a brief to the US Supreme Court.

Seeking reversal of a federal appeals court decision to let the case proceed, the company also asked the justices to clarify the standard for such a suit to survive an early-stage dismissal under the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act.
