NuWest Group Holdings LLC travel nurses got preliminary approval for a $4.4 million class settlement to end claims that it underpaid them for overtime hours worked.
The nurses said NuWest excluded the value of its travel employee compensation from overtime pay calculations, and asked workers to take pay cuts during assignments, according to court documents filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington. The court issued an order approving the unopposed settlement request Monday.
