Supplement maker Nutricost deceptively advertised its magnesium products as having 420 mg of the mineral but the capsule can’t hold that much, a proposed class action filed Tuesday alleges.
“It is impossible to fit 420 mg of magnesium derived from magnesium glycinate in two of the sized capsules Nutricost uses for a single serving” because “magnesium glycinate simply possesses far too low a concentration of magnesium to do so,” the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Ohio says.
