Numotion Consumers, Employees Advance Lawsuit Over Data Breach

Medical-equipment supplier Numotion must face some claims of a proposed federal class action alleging it failed to protect the personal information of nearly 4,200 customers and employees exposed in a 2024 data breach.

Lead plaintiffs Shaun Ducrepin and Dulcie Walker showed they had suffered concrete injuries sufficient for standing to sue in federal court, and adequately pleaded damages in support of their claims of negligence, negligence per se, and breach of implied contract, Judge Aleta A. Traugher of the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee said Thursday.
