Medical equipment company Numotion would pay $5.3 million to settle separate consolidated lawsuits over two 2024 data breaches that exposed the personal information of hundreds of thousands of employees and patients, under a proposed deal filed in federal court.
Class members would be entitled to receive up to $15,000 in reimbursement for documented out-of-pocket costs related to the breach, and a pro rata share of the net settlement fund after deduction of attorneys’ fees and the costs of administering the deal, according to the plaintiffs’ motion for preliminary settlement approval.
