Nucor Corp. Prevails in Black Employees’ Bias, Harassment Suit

Four Black former Nucor Corp. employees failed to come forward with sufficient proof of race discrimination, harassment, and retaliation at an Arkansas steel plant.

The ruling Tuesday by the US District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas turned in part on the lack of evidence of similar White employees who were treated more favorably, which is often a point at which job bias suits falter. It also partly turned on Nucor’s response to reported racially hostile workplace incidents.
