A class settlement calling for National Tire & Battery to help consumers nationwide register their newly purchased tires won final approval from a federal court in Florida.
The no-damages deal provides value to the class, and the attorneys’ requested $645,000 fee award warrants approval, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida said in an order entered Wednesday.
The court overruled a protest from an objector who said the deal benefits the plaintiffs’ lawyers but not the class and said it’s considering sanctions against her.
