NRA Sues Its Foundation in Trademark and Fund Control Battle

The National Rifle Association of America is suing the NRA Foundation over alleged trademark violations and misusing $160 million in donor funds, a new federal lawsuit said Monday.

The NRA alleged the foundation used its trademarks without permission and diverted money donated specifically for NRA charitable programs, in violation of trademark law. The NRA also alleges some of its ex-directors have seized control of the foundation to compete against the gun rights lobbying organization.
