NRA, Safari Club Appeal to Join Wildlife Refuge Hunting Dispute

The National Rifle Association, Safari Club International, and other hunting groups want the Ninth Circuit to reverse a judge’s order and allow them to intervene in a challenge to the Trump administration’s expansion of hunting and fishing on federal wildlife refuges.

The groups told the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana that their members would lose new access to hunting and fishing if the 2020 Hunt Fish Rule was tossed. The federal government is considering a settlement with the environmental group that sued over the rule, the hunting groups say.
