Northwestern University may not have to face the claims of a Palestinian graduate of its Pritzker School of Law who alleged the school didn’t sufficiently protect her from harassment after she participated in student protests.
Judge Charles P. Kocoras of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Monday found that Yasmeen Elagha can’t contend that her complaints to the university “fell on deaf ears.”
Kocoras gave Elagha another chance to sue the school under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. She can file a third amended complaint by Nov. 17.
