A Massachusetts school district is facing a trial over whether its allegedly poor handling of multiple sexual assaults by a former student constituted discrimination.
The North Andover School District’s investigations in to the assault could be seen as inadequate and its responses could be seen as deliberately indifferent under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Judge Indira Talwani of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts ruled Tuesday.
