NJ Prosecutors’ Strategies at Risk in Public Records Litigation

A New Jersey appeals court on Thursday revived the claims of a transparency group demanding the training materials given to state prosecutors.

The Superior Court Appellate Division ordered a trial court to review training documents in chambers to privately weigh their disclosure against the government’s interests, while also indicating that some of the information could be subject to disclosure under the state’s Open Public Records Act or common law claims.
