NJ Judges Say Threats to Judiciary Harm ‘American Experiment’

In nearly an hour of speeches Friday at the New Jersey State Bar Association’s annual meeting the name “Trump” wasn’t uttered, but his criticism and threats against the judiciary and law firms hung over the proceedings.

New Jersey Supreme Court Chief Justice Stuart Rabner and US District Court Chief Judge Renée Marie Bumb alluded to—but didn’t address—political threats against jurists at a time of sky-high dockets, in speeches that sought to reinforce that the legal profession in the Garden State is healthy.
