NJ Covid-19 Call Center Sued Over Lack of Notice Before Layoffs

Xtend Healthcare LLC violated federal and state law when it laid off hundreds of employees from its Covid-19 vaccination call center without 60 days’ advance written notice, according to a new lawsuit.

Xtend contracted with New Jersey to operate a 1,300-employee virtual call center to help residents schedule vaccine appointments during the pandemic, the complaint says. It alleges violations of the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act and the New Jersey Millville Dallas Airmotive Plant Job Loss Notification Act.
