Ninth Circuit Skeptical of Appeal Over Prisoner Sunlight Access

A group of federal appeals court judges cautioned inmates that previously won access to 15 minutes of sunlight per day that pressing for more could jeopardize even that time.

At a Thursday hearing, the three-judge Ninth Circuit panel said the inmates hadn’t provided any direct evidence or expert testimony to back up their claim that people need to access sunlight for more than the daily allotted time they had been given.
