Nike Inc. says Global Heartbreak LLC and its founder infringed and diluted its trademarks after the brand allegedly copied its iconic Air Jordan 1 High design.
“Naadier Riles, the founder of Global Heartbreak, is not an independent creator when it comes to footwear—he is a bootlegger,” the complaint filed in the US District for the District of New Jersey says. Nike brings claims for federal, common law, and state trademark infringement; trademark dilution; and unfair competition.
Riles and Global Heartbreak didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
