Nielsen Investors Ask Judge for Class Status in GDPR Effect Suit

Nielsen Holdings PLC investors who say the company misled them about a European privacy law’s effect on its access to data asked a federal judge in New York for permission to pursue their securities suit as a class.

The case is “well-suited for class treatment,” according to an investor memo filed in support of the class certification motion in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Judge Jesse M. Furman trimmed some of the investor claims in January, but allowed others to move forward.
