NHS Management Wins Data-Breach Appeal Before Alabama High Court

A proposed class action alleging that NHS Management LLC negligently failed to protect the personal information of employees and nursing-home patients that was exposed in a 2021 data breach was properly tossed, the Alabama Supreme Court said Friday.

Plaintiff Shymikka Griggs failed to adequately plead her claims of negligence, negligence per se, invasion of privacy, unjust enrichment, breach of confidence, and breach of fiduciary duty, the court said.
