Two more former National Hockey League officials in Florida alleged Monday they were fired for reporting a co-worker’s racist comments and for participating in an investigation of their complaints.
The suit, filed by David Walkowiak and James Watkins in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, comes eight months after the league settled similar claims brought by former referee Laurence P. Sullivan.
Like Sullivan, Walkowiak and Watkins were off-ice officials for the NHL at Tampa Bay Lightning games in Florida.
