A senior attorney for the NFL Players Association alleges the union retaliated against her for investigating potential criminal misconduct involving payments to its representatives on the board of licensing group OneTeam Partners LLC.
Heather McPhee in a Thursday lawsuit accused company leaders, including former executive director Lloyd Howell and general counsel Tom DePaso, of undermining an investigation she helped launch, and later freezing her out of the organization after she agreed to cooperate as a witness with investigations by the US Justice Department and a grand jury into NFLPA executives’ conduct related to OTP.
