Nexstar Misled DirecTV to Get Broadcast Agreement, Court Finds

Nexstar Media Group intentionally hid critical information from DirecTV LLC regarding the companies’ multiyear broadcasting agreement, which led to DirecTV losing out on millions of dollars, a New York appellate court ruled Thursday.

There’s “simply no issue of fact” over Nexstar’s intent to defraud DirecTV, the New York Supreme Court First Appellate Department wrote in its unanimous, per curiam opinion granting summary judgment to DirecTV on its fraudulent inducement claims.
