New York’s ban on carrying firearms in Times Square violates the Second Amendment, according to a new lawsuit.
The restriction “severely infringes the fundamental, individual right to bear loaded, operable handguns outside the home for millions of individuals who reside in New York City and the State more broadly,” the Firearms Policy Coalition and gun owner Yehuda Goldberger alleged in a complaint filed March 20 in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
