New York can enforce its law banning voter dilution, suppression, intimidation, and obstruction, a Brooklyn appellate court ruled Thursday.

The New York Supreme Court Second Appellate Department overturned a lower court order that found the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act, which makes it easier to sue town governments over voting rights violations, is unconstitutional.
