New York’s “red flag” gun law allowing courts to prohibit people who may be a threat to themselves or others from getting guns was upheld as constitutional by a Brooklyn appellate court.

The ruling, handed down Wednesday by the New York Supreme Court Second Appellate Department, reverses a lower court ruling that had deemed the law unconstitutional.
