New York State Chief Judge Rowan Wilson wants more resources to help expand the state’s family and problem-solving courts.
During the annual State of the Judiciary event on Tuesday, Wilson underscored that family and problem-solving courts, which focus on rehabilitation and treating issues that bring people into the court system, face numerous challenges and are under-resourced. He called on the state and stakeholders to do more to ensure there’s a “robust continuum of community-based care and treatment options.”
