New York Health System Gets Retirement Plan Suit Dismissed

New York-based Mohawk Valley Health System convinced a federal judge to throw out a proposed class action alleging the system mismanaged a $204 million retirement plan.

Four former employees failed to adequately allege MVHS breached fiduciary duties of prudence and loyalty under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act by not properly investigating alternative investment funds, Judge Anthony S. Brindisi of the US District Court for the Northern District of New York said in a March 27 order.
