Cease Fire, an Oregon company specializing in fire suppression systems technology, filed a trademark infringement complaint against two New York companies alleging intentional use of its registered trademarks for fire extinguishing apparatus.
Cease Fire alleges it sells a variety of fire suppression products under the character and design marks for “Cease Fire,” and asserts Upstate Plumbing and Heating and Ceasefire Inspections Inc. have benefited by willfully using Cease Fire’s intellectual property to sell fire sprinkler products and services, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
